Steps Of St.Paul

Daily Program

Day 01: ARRIVE ISTANBUL / ADANA

After arriving in Istanbul, board our domestic flight to the city of Adana and then drive to the town of TARSUS - the birthplace of St. Paul, to visit the well of St. Paul and the Gate of Cleopatra. Dinner and overnight in Adana.

Day 02: ADANA - ANTAKYA –ADANA

Depart from the hotel to continue to the city of Antakya visit the Mosaic Museum with some of the richest examples of the Roman mosaics in the world, the Church of St. Peter where he preached for the first time, and the ancient harbor of Antioch. Dinner and overnight in Adana.

Day 03: ADANA ­- ­ KONYA

Depart from the hotel for a drive to the town of Karaman and visit of Derbe. After a brief sightseeing around the town, continue to the city of Konya, ancient Iconium, via Aksaray along the Silk Road. Visit the Mevlana Museum and the Karatay Museum in Konya. Dinner and overnight in Konya.

Day 04: KONYA -­ PAMUKKALE

Depart from the hotel for a drive to the site of ancient Lystra where St. Paul visited together with St. Barnabas. After that, continue towards the town of Yalvac to visit the remains of the ancient city Antioch in Pisidia. Then drive to Pamukkale. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 05: PAMUKKALE ­ - IZMIR

After breakfast visit the Laodiceia ancient city and Hierapolis. Drive to the town of Alasehir to visit the remains of the Church in Philadelphia. Continue to the ancient city of Sardis to visit The Gymnasium, The Synagogue and The Temple of Artemis. Afterwards, drive to Izmir to visit Mt. Pagos to see the remains from the Hellenistic Castle of Lysimachos with a full view over Izmir, and to the Roman Agora of the ancient city of Smyrna. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.

Day 06: IZMIR - EPHESUS – IZMIR

Depart from the hotel for a short drive to visit the remains of Ephesus, the largest metropolis of Asia Minor, the House of Virgin Mary, the Basilica of St. John. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.

Day 07: IZMIR ­ - ASSOS

Depart from the hotel for a drive to Akhisar (Thyathira), a church praised for its increasing faith but criticized for its tolerance of Jezebel Bergama (Pergamum), home to the invention of parchment and the church that John both affirmed and chastised (Rev. 2:12-17). Continue to north along the Aegean coast to the town of Bergama for a visit to the Acropolis and the Asclepion of the Hellenistic City of Pergamon. Dinner and overnight in Assos.

Day 08: ASSOS­ - ISTANBUL

Depart from the hotel to visit the remains of the ancient city Assos, and then drive to Alexandria Troas to see the site of the ancient city. Then continue to visit the remains of the legendary city of Troy, settled as early as 3,000 BC and made famous in Homer’s Iliad and the legendary story of the Trojan War. Drive to Istanbul. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 09: ISTANBUL ­

Depart from the hotel to visit historical highlights of Istanbul including the Hippodrome where chariot races and competitive athletic events took place during the Roman period. And the Blue Mosque which is a 17th-century Ottoman Mosque famous with its six minarets and magnificent interior with blue tiles, next visit is the Topkapi Palace, the residence of Ottoman Sultans housing the richness of 700 years with its treasury section that includes the crown jewels and a unique collection of Chinese porcelains. Afternoon visit start at St. Sophia, the great Byzantine Basilica built in the 6th century. The last stop will be the Grand Bazaar where there will be an opportunity to shop prior to returning to Hotel. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 10: ISTANBUL ­

In the morning drive to Kariye Mosque, back to old town and visit of the Spice Bazaar and take a private ferry through Bosphorus viewing all the old style Yali 's and Beylerbeyi Palace up to the Black Sea . After lunch break, visit the Lady Sadberk Museum which houses a rich private ethnographical and archaeological collection. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 11: DEPARTURE FROM ISTANBUL

Meet at the lobby of hotel and transfer to the Istanbul Airport for your international flight.
