Daily Program

Day 01

Arrive in Athens. Transfer from airport to hotel. Overnight in Athens.

Day 02

Today you will start your tour following a scenic route viewing valleys and mountains on to one of the most famous settlements of ancient Greece; Delphi. Founded on the slopes of Parnassos Mountain, Delphi was believed to be the center of the world by ancient Greeks and was these art of Oracle of Apollo that had determined so much of happenings of Hellenistic and Roman period including the consultation that was given to King Byzas of Megara to found his colony on the shores of Bosphorus, today’s Istanbul. Arriving in Delphi you will enjoy your tour of ancient settlement including the Temple of Apollo and Archaeological Museum that displays a fascinating collection of artifact sun earthed from Delphi including the world famous bronze statue of the Roman charioteer of 2ndcentury BC. Concluding your explorations of ancient Delphi, you will enjoy your lunch break in modern day town of Delphi tasting delicious Greek cuisine. In the afternoon you will have leisurely time at Arachova. Founded at a superb location overlooking the steep slopes of Parnassos Mountain, you will enjoy strolling through the town’s narrow streets and trying local cafes with authentic décor. Later in the afternoon you will head back on to Athens. Estimated arrival time to Athens is 6 pm. 

Day 03

This morning you will be leaving your hotel for Biblical city of Corinth. Prior to your arrival to Corinth, you will stop at Corinth Canal to see this amazing passage of sea connecting Aegean to Ionian Sea. Reaching ancient city of Corinth you will start your tour from Archaeological Museum which will give you with its collection of works of sculpture a hint of fine life that was lived in Corinth. Corinth was one of the major Roman cities visited by Paul that then still practiced its Greek culture and heritage. Concluding your tour of ancient Corinth, you will return to Athens by noon. Enjoy your lunch at one of the local taverns that Athenians boasts. Start your afternoon of explorations of Athens from ancient Acropolis that hosts the famous Parthenon, Temple of Athena, dating back to 5thcentury BC. Looking over the city of Athens, Parthenon is considered to be the symbol of ancient Greek culture and Athenian democracy. Enjoying splendid views of Athens from Acropolis, you will continue your tour exploring Areopagus, Mar’sHill, as was described in the King James Version of Bible. In the shadow of Athenian Acropolis, Paul preached his sermon recorded in the Bible (Acts 17:22-31). Concluding your tour of Athens, you will be transferred to port of Pireaus to board your cruise ship to start your journey tracing Christian Heritage of Aegean founded by Paul.
